Welding

A-Frame Table

My first (but hopefully not last!) welding project was inspired by a beautiful but damaged table surface that had been delivered to my classroom the previous year. I knew that with a little bit of sanding, I could restore the chipped corner, but I needed to build a set of legs sturdy enough for this very heavy table top. I set about designing A-frame legs with built-in shelving, and then a friend walked me through the process of buying steel tubing, cutting it to the right size and angles, grinding it down to improve the surfaces, and finally welding it all together!
