U-Shaped Planters
I first saw test-tube planters like these ones on Pinterest and I fell in love right away. I was able to enlist my sister to help me cut down, plane, route, and drill some 2x4's to create my own planter wall! Be warned -- this project was a lot more involved than I could have imagined when I started out!
Backyard Dining Table
This table was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. I decided to use almost exclusively pocket holes for the joints in order to make it look as seamless as possible. Just as I thought I was done installing boards for the table's surface, I realized I had one extra piece... and that I had flipped the horizontal and vertical legs in the boxes that make up the support structure for the table. Alas, it was too late-- I had already glued up most of the joints-- but I have been happy to discover that the slightly higher table height is a big hit with my taller guests!
Mid-Century Modern Dresser
After a summer of smaller projects, I wanted to do something truly impressive (to myself anyways), so I found plans on Pinterest for a mid-century modern dresser, bought everything I'd need for it at Home Depot, and got to work. I was thrilled with the final outcome and had many friends "offering" to take it off my hands when I moved!
Porch Furniture
My former apartment had an (in my opinion) enormous porch and I lived there for years without building furniture for it. The summer of 2020, however, left me no excuse and I finally got down to business. With the help of a couple of friends, I built a table, a bench, a ladder, and an adorable little stool.Â
